Mechanical separation technology is now a key technology in many sectors – including the production of beer, wine or juice, the production and processing of dairy products, numerous chemical and pharmaceutical processes as well as the centrifugal treatment of mineral oils and their derivatives – with considerable potential for improving existing products and processes and for developing new ones.
Hybrid solutions for polishing liquids complement our range of products and services. Customers benefit from the intelligent combination of separator and decanter technology with the polishing characteristics of ceramic membrane filters from a single source.
Our ceramic membrane installations supply a continuous flow of clear filtrate with the separating efficiency and performance for which they have been designed. The ceramic membrane forms a mechanical barrier with a specific pore size. We have a broad range of ceramic membrane modules with pore sizes ranging from 1 to 1400 nanometers and with different membrane materials. Fields of application are the food industry , biotechnology, the chemical industry and recycling technology.
The rapid translation of new developments into marketable processes and systems is a striking feature of the success of GEA Westfalia Separator. One of the major reasons for the success is the specific investment in research and development. This has allowed GEA Westfalia Separator to develop numerous improvements in centrifugal separation technology, and first-class engineering has ensured that these improvements are now marketable throughout the world.
Customers are now able to benefit from our experience with more than 2500 process engineering applications.
