Our personnel development tools support the strategies and the objectives of GEA Group's personnel management. Some of the tools are presented below.

"GEA's Professionals on Stage" / "Quo Vadis"
"GEA's Professionals on Stage" is the central talent scouting event of GEA Group. It is an important element for the evaluation of high potentials. The event diagnoses the suitability of nominees for executive functions and identifies talents.

The "Quo Vadis" seminar, directly and subsequently following the "GEA's Professionals on Stage", provides participants with an opportunity to develop scheduled objectives for their career.

Permanent Management Qualification (PMQ)

PMQ is a brief evaluation of GEA Group managers by their supervisors. The system may be subjective but generates nevertheless valuable executive performance information and helps to identify the right candidates for GEA Group executive vacancies. It also reveals the optimization potentials of poor performers.

Management Feedback
The management feedback tool provides 90° feedback by employees to their managers and addresses executive leadership competence.

Mentoring
Within the scope of the Mentoring Program, experienced managers work together with high potentials for one year. Both, mentors and mentees have to meet number of formal and personal conditions for acceptance in the mentor/mentee program. As an example, these candidates must have already worked for different segments of GEA Group.

MBA - Master of Business Administration
The GEA Group offers employees that have been identified as High-Potentials a non-commercial university graduation. This will comprise the learning of management responsibilities and the chance to acquire an MBA graduation at the Mannheim Business School. This study course is designed as a part-time MBA that extends to nearly 2 years. During this period, students will mainly focus on their studies during weekends and are also envisaged to foreign assignments.

The study course is aiming at empowering employees to broaden their skills and perspectives and to become experts in the subjects of Business administration. This enables us to qualify adequate internal candidates for management and top-management positions. Moreover we are thus able to convey intercultural understanding and to enable them to act in international backgrounds.

Additionally, this programme serves as an employee retention instrument that allows for the internal filling of key-positions.
